Can someone please remind me where the ticky box is, on Windows Media Player (v10), to stop it playing a cd automagically whenever I insert a cd?

All I did was move an album which I'd temporarily stored in a folder on my desktop to My Documents>My Music, and it's gone and changed the track order again!And as it's a live album the 'Intro' should, really should be the first track ( Read more... )

I swear my puter has a mind of it's own :-o

I know before know that I've told it not to open up WMP and start playing a cd as soon as I insert one, but today, for some reason it's started doing just that, again.

And I can't for the life of me remember how/where I told it not to, last time.

Can a techie help please?

Please can anyone tell me if there's a way to use Windows Media Player to download music from my puter to my Sony mp3 player (it's a Sony NW-HD5 Walkman mp3 player), rather than the crappy SonicStage software/player that came with it?

Or an alternative, please?

Why, on ocassion (it seems), does Windows Media Player (version 10), see fit to change the order of tracks?? It's especially annoying when I save stuff to disc.

So what do I need to do/get so that my WMP plays m4a files? (I'm assuming these are a progression from mp3's?)

Does Windows Media Player change the order of tracks on an album??

I don't think it normally does that does it??

Or is it StupidSpike (again), or a combination of the two?

I've downloaded a track called Easy by Barenaked Ladies, which was posted in barenaked.

I've saved it simply as "Easy" to start with. Now I've played it and now it's fine, I want to rename it but stupid WindowsXP (I assume), gives me the following:
